Center of Innovative and Applied Bioprocessing (CIAB) is an autonomous national institute under Department of Biotechnology (Govt. of India). The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur was established in the year 1960. The Parliament of India passed the ‘Institutes of Technology Act 1961’ declaring all the IITs as “Institutions of National Importance”. The Parliamentary Act has given absolute autonomy to the IITs. The National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) has been established as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India for undertaking human sports dope testing & allied research thereon. It is accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing & Calibration Laboratories (NABL), (ISO/IEC 17025:2017) and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) for testing of urine & blood samples from human sports. It is a state-of-art-the-art laboratory equipped with modern and latest analytical equipment.

Regional Ayurveda Research Institute was initially started with a Unit of Survey of Medicinal Plants and Clinical Research in the year 1971 and it was upgraded to Regional Research Institute in 1979. Further it was renamed as North Eastern India Ayurveda Research Institute in the year 2009 and subsequently it was again renamed as Regional Ayurveda Research Institute for Gastro-Intestinal Disorder. The Institute has its own Land and Building.

Delhi Technological University (Formerly Delhi College of Engineering)is one of the best technological universities in India. The institution was set up at historic Kashmere Gate campus as a follow up of the Wood and Abott Committee of 1938.
