CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants (CIMAP), Lucknow is a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi. CSIR-CIMAP undertakes basic and applied research in important areas of plant sciences.

CSIR-CIMAP invites applications from Indian citizens in the prescribed application format for the post(s) of Sr.Technical Officer(2), Technical Assistant & Assistant (F&A) Gr.III for the technical/administrative support in research activities as per the details hereunder:

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up the following Group ‘C’ posts on direct recruitment. Eligible/suitable candidates are requested to submit their applications in the prescribed format along with attested copies of certificates & testimonials, two copies of recent passport size photographs, Indian Postal Order for Rs.50/- being the application fee in favour of the Deputy Director (Admn), NEIGRIHMS payable at Shillong. CDRI is the seventh among the laboratories established by Government of India as a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi. The idea for establishment of a laboratory exclusively for drug research was put forward by Dr. B. Mukerji, the then Director, Biochemical Standardization Laboratory, Calcutta in his presidential address to the Physiology session of the Indian Science Congress held at Nagpur in 1945.

The grape growers of India were among the first to form a cohesive non-political, non-racial and non-religious group for sharing the knowledge and for garnering technical and administrative support for the grape industry in all facets of grape production, processing and marketing. Owing to several problems faced by grape growers with respect to grape production and to get their problems solved, the group approached the Indian Council of Agricultural Research to establish a dedicated research unit for working on grapes. Thus after due deliberation on the research needs of grape growers and the grape industry and also to address the future challenges and opportunities, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research approved the establishment of National Research Centre for Grapes vide sanction letter No.1 (2)/92-PI&M (Part-III) dated 16 September, 1993.
