Vegetable research  was given impetus through establishment of AICRP on vegetable crops during 1971 at IARI,  New Delhi with the responsibilities of coordinating and monitoring of vegetable research programmes of the country.  To give a fillip to the research and to meet the challenges of nutritional security, the status of AICRP on vegetable  crops was elevated to the level of Project Directorate of Vegetable Research (PDVR) during 1986 with its headquarter at IARI, New Delhi.

Applications are invited for appointment on contractual basis for two post of National Consultant (IDD) under the National Iodine Deficiency Disorders Control Programme by the Nutrition & IDD Cell of the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt, of India, New Delhi. The details for aforesaid post are as follows:-

Indian Rare Earths Limited (IREL) a Public Sector Undertaking under the administrative control of the Department of Atomic Energy is the industry leader in the area of Beach Sand Minerals like Ilmenite, Rutile (Titanium ores), Zircon, Monazite, Sillimanite etc. and producer of rare earth (Lanthanides) chemicals, Thorium Nitrate etc.

Candidates who possess the qualification mentioned below may attend the WALK IN INTERVIEW on 05.12.2011 between 9.00 AM to 12.00 PM with all original certificates, including community certificate and recent passport size photograph. The selected candidates will be working under the DBT project entitled “Characterization of the bacterial toxins isolated from soil samples for the control of mosquito vectors”.

The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) is the new state-of-the-art R&D satellite of the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), which also includes under its umbrella the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), the largest cancer hospital in Asia. ACTREC has the mandate to function as a national centre for treatment, research and education in cancer. Institute of Genomics & Integrative Biology (IGIB), one of the premier constituent establishments of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), is carrying out research and development in the areas of genomics, molecular medicines, bioinformatics and environmental biotechnology. The Institute has played pivotal role in genomics and integrative biology through R & D partnerships and in collaboration with medical institutes, universities and the industry.

The Regional Medical Research Centre for Tribals(RMRCT) at Jabalpur  was established in 1984, under the aegisof the Indian Council of Medical research(ICMR), New Delhi, which is an autonomous body under  the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi. The centre is planning, executing and monitoring the regional health problems of the tribal, in and around central India. Training is being imparted to local expertise for communicable diseases.

Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) was established as an autonomous organisation in 1978, under the Dept. of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. Primarily a research body, CCRH has a multi-dimensional approach to research and its varied research activities include 'Survey, collection and cultivation of medicinal plants', 'Drug standardisation', 'Drug proving', 'Clinical verification' and 'Clinical research'.
