Central Drugs Testing Laboratory, Mumbai is statutory laboratory working under administrative control of Drugs Controller General (I), CDSCO, DGHS, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi. The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) is the Central Drug Authority for discharging functions assigned to the Central Government under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. CDSCO has six zonal offices, four sub-zonal offices, 13 port offices and seven laboratories under its control.
The contractual period may be reduced or extended at the sole discretion of the management (CDSCO-HQ). During the contract period the service can be terminated without any notice or without assigning any reasons whatsoever.

National lnstitute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER)is an autonomous institution established under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers at Hajipur, district Vaishali, Bihar It is being set up as a centre of excellence for higher education, research and development in pharmaceutical sciences under Act of Parliament(NIPER ACT 1998). The Institute is conceived to provide leadership in pharmaceutical sciences and other related areas and admits students for M.S.(Pharm.) Pharmaco-informatics, M.Pharm. Pharmacy Practice and M.S.(Pharm.) Biotechnology to begin with. Subsequently more postgraduate and doctoral programmes courses would be added on the lines of NIPER,SASNagar, Mohali (Punjab). A full-fledged campus is envisaged to set up on 100 acres of land to be allotted by Bihar Government near the present site. It would be the Endeavour of the Government to setup the permanent campus in public-private partnership model to the extent possible.
