The institute has:  state-of the art laboratories; remote sensing and mapping facilities; internationally recognised herbarium; animal house facility; pilot plants in nutraceuticals, essential oil and herbals; farms and polyhouses. Employees’ State Insurance Scheme of India,  is a multidimensional social system tailored to provide socio-economic  protection to worker population and their dependents covered under the scheme.  Besides full medical care for self and dependents, that is admissible from day  one of insurable employment, the insured persons are also entitled to a variety  of case benefits in times of physical distress due to sickness, temporary or  permanent disablement etc. resulting in loss of earing capacity, the confinement  in respect of insured women, dependents of insured persons who die in industrial  accidents or because of employment injury or occupational hazard are entitled to  a monthly pension called the dependents benefit.

Central Research Institute (CRI) is pioneer in the field of vaccines not only in India but in the world. Founded on 3rd of May 1905, the institute was originally established with a mandate of research work in the field of medical and public health, manufacture of vaccines and antisera, human resource development and to act as a national referral centre for public health problems. The contribution of the Institute towards vaccine production during the period of the Second World War for the immunization of troops to keep them fighting, finds no parallel.

Himalayan Institute of Pharmacy is affiliated to the Himachal Pradesh Technical University and Himachal Pradesh Takniki Shiksha Board and approved from PCI & AICTE.  The institute is located in the the heart of the stretch of Pharmaceutical Hub that is Kala Amb and arount 400 small to large Pharmaceutical Manufacturing units are established in this area which are contributing around 40% of total pharma manufacturing of the nation. The institute has very close relationship with Pharmaceutical companies in term of training/placement and technical support.
