The Laboratory was established in 1941 as a research and production centre, known as Drug Research Laboratory of J&K State and was later taken over by Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) of Govt. of India in December 1957 as Regional Research Laboratory, Jammu. In view of its core strength in natural products based drug discovery, the mandate of Institute was redefined in 2005 and its name changed to Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM).

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi has been nominated as the mentoring Institute for All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Vijaypur (Samba), Jammu by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt, of India.

In Pursuance of Govt.order No:DHSK/Jan Ashudhi/2023/224-246 Dated 2701.2023, walk in interview of eligible registered pharmacists of District Shopia n to work on profit sharing basis at Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Ashudhi Kendras (PMBJK) is scheduled on 31th May 2023 at the office of the undersigned for the below mentioned health centers.
