NIT Rourkela is one of the premier national level institutions for technical education in the country and is funded by the Government of India. Government of India has elevated the Regional Engineering College, Rourkela to a deemed university under the name of National Institute of Technology, Rourkela.

Central Inter-Disciplinary Research Facility (CIDRF) is a Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Govt. of India recognized research center inaugurated in 2012, to foster research emanating from ‘bed side’ to ‘bench’ and back to ‘bed side’ enabled by its association to two medical (MGMCRI, SSSMCRI) and one dental (IGIDS) institution with hospitals.  CIDRF is intended to be an inter-disciplinary open forum for interaction between scientists and clinicians taking medical research to molecular levels so that clinical practice gets the strongest evidence base and support.

Central Drugs Laboratory' is the Appellate laboratory working under administrative control of Drugs Controller General (I), CDSCO, DGHS, MOH & F.W, Govt, of India, New Delhi. Applications received from the candidates are in prescribed format in respect of above post purely on contractual basis and the contractual period may be reduced or extended at the sole direction of CDSCO, HQ, New Delhi .During the contract period services can be terminated without any notice or without any reason whatsoever.

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research originated as École de Médicine de Pondichérry established by the French Government in the year 1823. This medical school was converted into Dhanvantari Medical College at the time of de facto transfer of Pondicherry to Government of India. This Medical College was later upgraded into Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER).
