CSIR-IIIM, Jammu is offering several skill development courses for diploma holders, graduates, people from industries in various disciplines of Biological and Chemical sciences.  Basic Knowledge generation, hands on experience in operation and maintenance of sophisticated equipments are the highlights of the course.

The Laboratory was established in 1941 as a research and production centre, known as Drug Research Laboratory of J&K State and was later taken over by Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) of Govt. of India in December 1957 as Regional Research Laboratory, Jammu. In view of its core strength in natural products based drug discovery, the mandate of Institute was redefined in 2005 and its name changed to Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM).

Applications are invited by the Medical Superintendent, Safdarjung Hospital from eligible candidates for the under mentioned post on the NACO/DSACS sponsored SRL programme at the Apex Regional STD Centre & State Reference Laboratory for HIV, Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, on a contract basis. The post is presently upto 31.3.2020 (likely to continue).

The Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute (VPCI) is a unique postgraduate medical institution devoted to the study of chest diseases. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Center for Biomedical Research (ACBR) is a unique center under the University of Delhi where a multispeciality group of scientists work as a cohesive team and participate in active teaching and research.

The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) initiated Tata Innovation Fellowship in 2007 to promote innovation in science, in finding effective solutions to major existing challenges in modern Biology/Biotechnology. The emphasis of the scheme is to recognize and reward scientists with outstanding track record in biological sciences/ biotechnology and commitment to find innovative solutions in healthcare, agriculture, environment, conservation of natural resources, livestock production manufacturing process etc. Upto 5 fellowships are given every year.
