The history of Jamia Hamdard begins with the establishment of a small Unani clinic in the year 1906 by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, one of the well-known practitioners of Unani System of Medicine of his time. Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed had a vision of making the practice of Unani Medicine into a scientific discipline so that Unani medicines could be dispensed in a more efficacious manner to patients. He gave the name "Hamdard" to his venture which means "sympathy for all and sharing of pain". His illustrious son, Hakeem Abdul Hameed, carried forward the philosophy and objectives of Hamdard in independent India.
Candidates are invited for appearing in Walk-in-interview for the following positions to work in the R&D Project on Cannabis Species sponsored by M/s Hydrogreen Leaf Pvt. Ltd. These positions are temporary and co-terminus with the funding of project.
Qualifications :
1) Post Doc Fellow : Ph.D. in Biotechnology with research experience in plant secondary metabolites.
2) Project Associate – I : M.Sc. in Biotechnology / M.Sc. Chemistry with specialization in Natural Products/M.Pharm. in Pharmaceutics with first division.
3) Technical Assistant : B.Sc. in Biotechnology / Chemistry / Biosciences / B.Pharm. with First Division.
Desirable : Lab experience of at least two years.
Candidates having proficiency in computer applications will be given preference for the above positions. The desirous candidates having requisite qualifications and fulfilling other eligibility conditions may appear in walk-in-interview along with their latest Bio-data and certificates in original in support of their qualification and experience in the Committee Room, Dept. of Biotechnology, School of Chemical and Life Sciences, Jamia Hamdard at 9.30 AM on 28th January, 2020. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates attending the interview.
