The Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak has been established by an Act of the Parliament of India. It came into existence by the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Act, 2007 and came into action on July 2008. The jurisdiction of the University extends to the whole country and it is fully funded by the Central Government through the University Grant Commission. RCU has been setup by Ramchandra Chandravansi Welfare Trust (RCWT) which was registered in the year 2006. Since its inception, the mission of the founding fathers has been to spread education to ordinary citizens of India, particularly those hailing from backward regions of the state of Jharkhand and India. The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER), SAS Nagar is an autonomous Institute of National importance set up by the Government of India, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers by an Act of Parliament, to impart higher education and undertake advanced research in the field of Pharmaceutical sciences, technology and management.

Varanasi College of Pharmacy, Varanasi is established in the year 2008. The Institute offers, full time four-year degree course in Pharmacy (B. Pharm) and two years diploma course (D. Pharm). The Institute is situated in the city of Varanasi. The College is approved by AICTE, PCI, New Delhi and affiliated to Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow and Board of Technical Education, Lucknow.
