Life Sciences Fellowship in DBT funded project at National Institute of Immunology

The National Institute of Immunology (NII) is committed to advanced research with a view to understand body's defense mechanisms for developing modalities of immune system manipulation that can intervene with disease processes. The institute’s research thrust areas under immunology and related disciplines cluster in four main themes, namely, infection and immunity, molecular design, gene regulation and reproduction and development, where cutting edge research in modern biology is being carried out employing multiple overlapping disciplines of biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology and structural biology.

Post : Junior Research Fellow (Project) (One position only)

Duration : 6 Months (Six months)

Name of the Project : “Understanding the biochemical and functional role of Helicobacter pylori EngA: A ribosomal assembly GTPase” funded by DBT

Educational Qualifications : M.Sc in any branch of Life Sciences with NET or equivalent degree as per DST guidelines.

Desirable : Must have a Post Graduate Degree, with at least 2 years of research experience in laboratory settings.

Job Description : At least two years of laboratory research experience, particularly in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry and Biophysics.
