National Brain Research Centre is the only institute in India dedicated to neuroscience research and education. Scientists and students of NBRC come from diverse academic backgrounds, including biological, computational, mathematical, physical, engineering and medical sciences, and use multidisciplinary approaches to understand the brain. The objective of the workshop is to give the participants an insight into the world of cancer drug discovery. The intensive sessions will be a perfect blend of theory and practical classes. Apart from the basics of cell culture and cancer biology, the participants will get to know the various marker genes associated with cancer. Gene expression studies with a focus on RT-PCR will be discussed and hands on sessions will ensure that the participants will make the most out of the workshop.
