Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) is an autonomous Institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt, of India. The institute is an integral part of the interdisciplinary NCR Biotech Science Cluster located at Faridabad, and is designed as a dynamic, interactive organization with the mission to conduct innovative translational research and to develop research collaborations across disciplines and professions to translate concepts into tangible products to improve human health.

THSTI has set up niche centres for research in areas relevant to planned translational work. They are: Vaccine and Infectious Disease Research Centre (VIDRC), Paediatric Biology Centre (PBC), Centre for Bio-design & Diagnostics (CBD), Drug Discovery Research Centre (DDRC), Centre for Human Microbial Ecology (CHME) and Policy Centre for Biomedical Research (PCBR). Clinical Development Services Agency (CDSA) and National Bio-design Alliance (NBA) are THSTI’s extramural centres.

The Ace unit of Ind Swift Limited was created in the year 2005 with an aim to globalize the Ind Swift brand for finished dosage forms. The manufacturing site catering to the demand of the developed international markets was commissioned in 2006. A record was created when two major regulatory approvals, one from MHRA, UK and the other from TGA, Australia were received for this site within a record time of the site being commissioned. The approvals opened the gates for GBU to become a key supplier of products to the countries of EU, Australia, Canada, Singapore etc.

Defence Institute of Bio-Energy Research (DIBER) (formely Defence Agricultural research Laboratory, DARL) is engaged in R&D on Biofuel crops and Bio-diesel for Defence use.Bio-resource conservation, improvement and its judicious utilization and Bioenergy-products from Himalayan Herbs. The laboratory is located at Haldwani, District- Nainital (Uttarakhand).

Following Fellowships are available initially for a period of two years (extendable as per rules), at a monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000/- per month for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Rs. 40,000/- per month for Research Associate (RA) (House Rent Allowance is also admissible as per rules). Post : Junior Research Fellow

Applications in the prescribed proforma are invited from eligible candidates (Indian Citizens only) for following posts under the Chief District Medical Officer, Cuttack District to be filled on contractual basis with monthly remuneration mentioned against each of the post.

The Candidates must not be below the age of 21 years or above 32 years as on publication of this advertisement. The upper age limit shall be relaxed by 5 years in case of SC & ST, SEBC, Women candidates, and 10 years in case of physically handicapped / Ex- Serviceman candidates. Age relaxation is however applicable in respect of one category only. The ORV Act and Rule will be applicable for these contractual recruitments.
