TN Association requesting PCI, not to take exit examination

Tamil Nadu All Registered Pharmacists Welfare Association requesting Pharmacy council of India to not conduct the exit examination for Pharmacists.

The General Secretary, of TNARPW association said that, we have received notification about exit exam for pharmacy students for upcoming November 2022. We are not happy by this announcement actually. Our association clearly stands with welfare of public at all the time. But we are expecting some response from PCI for our questions.

He further said that, "we are the association from Tamilnadu who are fighting for the rights of pharmacists and suggesting our members to regulate the pharmacists properly.  We have received notification about the exit exams and we are really disappointed about the same.  Most of the students who are studying pharmacy are really from rural areas of India and they weren't even able to pay the fees on time to colleges. They planned to survive after completion of course by starting a pharmacy within their budget."

TNARPW association said, "if PCI started to conduct exit exam then it really affects their hope and dream about the pharma field. Yes we need quality pharmacists at the same time passing the exit exam is not going to be easier for them. Because they were from state government medium and poor financial background too. If a student wants to become a pharmacist then they need to clear the exit exam is not the only way. It's really going to affect college admissions too."

"We are always stand with PCI about regulating our profession for better public health. At same time here lot of issues have to be shorted out regarding the career and growth of our profession. We believe PCI will answer for our valid questions and make clear about the exams," said TNARPW association.
