Applications are invited for engagement of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the GSBTM funded project entitled “LC-HRMS Dereplication-Guided Isolation and Characterization of Bioactive Secondary Metabolites from Endozoic Fungi Associated with Marine Invertebrates” in the Department of Natural Products, NIPER-Ahmedabad.
The position is available initially for a period of 01 year and may be extended further for 01 year based on the candidate’s satisfactory performance and continuation of the project.

Principal Investigator : Dr. Abhijeet Kate, Professor, Department of Natural Products
Engagement Tenure : The position is for period of 12 months subject to performance and continuation of the project for next 12 months. The position will be co-terminus with the project.
Salary : Rs.31,000/- plus HRA as per applicable rate (For NET/GATE qualified) Rs. 23,213/- consolidated for Non-NET/GATE candidate
Essential Qualification Essential Qualification :
M. Pharm/ MS Pharm/ MSc or Equivalent with specialization in Natural Products/ Pharmacognosy/ Chemistry or equivalent with specialization in Pharmacy/ Life sciences/ Chemical Sciences with hands on experience in fungal culture, isolation and structure elucidation of natural products.
PG degree with 60% marks for GN/OBC (55% for SC/ST/PH) from UGC recognized University/ Institute, autonomous bodies NIPER/IITs/IISER
Desired qualification : GATE/CSIR/UGC NET/GPAT qualified.
Desired Work : Experience Prior experience in performing column Chromatography, HPLC analysis, LC-MS and NMR data interpretation.
Other Terms & Conditions : The position is purely temporary in nature and co-terminus with the project.
