Walk-in: Applications invited for the post of Research Associate at ICAR

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is an autonomous organisation under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. Formerly known as Imperial Council of Agricultural Research, it was established on 16 July 1929 as a registered society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 in pursuance of the report of the Royal Commission on Agriculture. The ICAR has its headquarters at New Delhi.

Application are invited for walk-in-interview on 29th September, 20llat 10:00 a.m. for one post of Research Associate (RA), on contractual basis, at the Education Division, Krishi Anusandhan Bhawan-Il, Pusa, New Delhi, from eligible candidates having (i) Doctoral degree in any branch of agricultural I veterinary I related basic sciences, or (ii) Master's degree with first division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at least two years of research experience as evidenced from fellowship/ associate ship/ training I other engagements. Knowledge of computer operation is necessary. Published research papers will be desirable. Please see website www.icar.org.in, for details. It may be noted that:

1) No TAl DA will be given to the Candidates for attending the interview.
2) The upper age limit is 40 years for men: 45 years for Women.
3) Candidates reporting after 10.30 a.m. shall not be interviewed.

Emoluments:
For Masters degree holders, Rs. 23,0001- per month and for Doctoral degree holders Rs. 24,0001- per month consolidated plus HRA as admissible based on the revised guidelines of the council's O.M. No. 15(1)/2010-A&P (Edn.), dated the October 26, 2010.


Other Terms & Conditions:
Crucial date for determining the age limit of candidates will be the date of walk-in-interview. The period of engagement of RA will be initially for a period of one year only which may be extendable on satisfactory performan~ The period of engagement shall be initially for one year only, which may be extended furthel'"iime to time. The selected candidate shall have no legal right to claim regularization by absorption or otherwise or against any regular post or any further continued engagement on termination of the XI Plan in the Education Division. The engagement is purely time bound, non-regular and on co-terminus basis with the Scheme Programme. The services of the incumbent shall stand terminated on expiry of the period given in the sanction or even before, if not found satisfactory. The government strives to have a workforce which reflects gender balance and women candidates are encouraged to apply. Since the engagement of the manpower in the scheme is purely time bound and non-regular and also not against any sanctioned vacancyl cadre strength I post I position, the service provisions for regular post including reservations will not be applicable.

Venue & Time of Interview:
The eligible candidates may appear for Walk-in-Interview at the Education Division, Committee Room No. 205, Krishi Anusandhan Bhawan- II, Pusa, New Delhi - 110012 on 29th September, 2011 along with originals and attested copies of certificates, proof of age and NOC from present employer, if applicable. Candidates reporting after 10.30 a.m. shall not be interviewed.
