The Kurukshetra University was established in 1956 as a unitary residential University and its foundation stone was laid by late Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India. Located in the holy city of Kurukshetra, land of the historical battle of 'Mahabharata' and the great message of Bhagwad Gita, its campus is situated on the western bank of Brahm Sarover (the holy tank) and extends over an area of over 400 acres. Starting with only the Department of Sanskrit, it has grown into a multi-faculty University as one of the premier centres for advanced study and research in the region.

Thapar University, (formerly Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology) is located in sprawling green campus comprising of more than 250 acres Thapar Technology Campus (TTC) in the historic city of Patiala. Dibrugarh University, the easternmost University of India was set up in 1965 under the provisions of the Dibrugarh University Act, 1965 enacted by the Assam Legislative Assembly. It is a teaching-cum-affiliating University with limited residential facilities. The University is situated at Rajabheta at a distance of about five kilometres to the south of the premier town of Dibrugarh in the eastern part of Assam as well as India. The University is located in a campus of 203 hectares out of which 74.3 hectares are under tea plantation.

The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur was established in the year 1960. The Parliament of India passed the ‘Institutes of Technology Act 1961’ declaring all the IITs as “Institutions of National Importance”. The Parliamentary Act has given absolute autonomy to the IITs. When the foundation stone of the IIT system was laid, it was perceived that taking help from the industrially advanced western countries might be lot more effective in achieving the status of a world class technical institute.

The Dr. Reddy's Institute of Life Sciences was conceived in the context of globalization, to foster research competence in India and to bridge the divide between academic research and the pharmaceutical & biotechnology industries.  The institute was incorporated as a non-profit entity under Section 25 of the Indian companies act, facilitating operational autonomy. Construction of the DRILS building comprising 44 labs and an administrative block and spanning ~130,000 sq.ft. in area, began in 2004 and was completed in January 2007.

CT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (CTIPS) was established as constituent organization of CT group of Institutes, under the crown of CT Educational society in Year 2004 in Jalandhar (Punjab), with ambition of becoming “Center of Excellence” in Pharmaceutical Education and Research, in Punjab and Northern India. Jalandhar city is easily accessible by road and rail from all parts of the country. The Institute is affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU) Jalandhar and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) as well as by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. In the initial voyage, CTIPS acquired its milestone by getting the status of ISO-9001:2008 certification from United Kingdom Accreditation Services (UKAS), UK. The Institute is running B. Pharmacy (4 year degree course), M. Pharmacy (2 year PG course) in three specializations i.e. Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacology.
