Opportunity for PG in Pharmacy, Life Sciences at Regional Medical Research Centre

ICMR–Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC), Gorakhpur is one of the prestigious research organizations working under the aegis of Indian Council of Medical Research, Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. The Centre intends to engage Consultants and Young Professionals–II, purely on temporary & contractual basis to support research and institutional activities of the Centre. 

The positions, required qualifications and other details are mentioned below.

Consultant (Scientific – Medical) / (Non- Medical) - 01 Post
Essential Qualifications
Medical : Professionals having proven competency and success in their area of specialization, with at least 10 years of post-qualification experience and should possess minimum MBBS or BDS or BVSc or equivalent degree in relevant subject. OR Retired Government employees, with requisite qualification and who were in the regular Pay Level-10 and above, having at least 10 years of relevant experience in the required specialization. 
Note : 
1. PhD will be considered as 4 years' experience (irrespective of the duration taken to complete the degree). 
2. MD/MS or equivalent to be considered as 3 years' experience. 
3. MVSc will be considered as 2 years' experience 
4. MPH will not be considered as any experience.
Non-Medical : Professionals having proven competency and success in their area of specialization, with at least 10 years of post-qualification experience and should possess minimum M.Sc / B.Tech / BE /MCA / MPH / B.Pharm/BAMS/ BSMS/ MD in AYUSH or equivalent qualifications in relevant subject. OR Retired Government employees, with requisite qualification and who were in the regular Pay Level-10 and above, having at least 10 years of relevant experience in the required specialization. 
Note: 
1. PhD will be considered as 4 years' experience (irrespective of the duration taken to complete the degree). 
2. MPH/M.Tech / ME / M.Pharm will not be considered as any experience.
Monthly Consolidated remuneration : Between Rs. 1,00,000 – 1,80,000 
For retired Govt. servant the remuneration shall be fixed in accordance with the Ministry of Finance, Dept. of Expenditure OM No. 3-35/202- E.IIIA dated 09/12/2020.
Age Limit (yr) (Age relaxation as per rules) : Min – 40 years
Max – 70 years

Consultant (Technical– Non-Medical) - 01 Post
Essential Qualifications : Professionals having proven competency and success in their area of specialization, with at least 10 years of post-qualification experience and should possess minimum B.Tech/BE in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications in relevant subject. OR Retired Government employees, with requisite qualification and who were in the regular Pay Level-10 and above and having at least 10 years’ experience in the required specialization. 
Note : 1. PhD will be considered as 4 years' experience (irrespective of the duration taken to complete the degree). 
2. MPH/M.Tech/ME/M.Pharm will not be considered as any experience.
Monthly Consolidated remuneration : Between Rs. 1,00,000 – 1,80,000

Young Professional-II (Scientific) - 01 Post
Essential Qualifications : Post-graduates in Life Sciences/ Pharmacy / Statistics / Social works/ Sociology / BAMS, BSMS, and MD in AYUSH with at least 55% marks with 01 year post qualification experience in related field.
Monthly Consolidated remuneration : Rs. 42,000
Age Limit (yr) (Age relaxation as per rules) : 40 years

Young Professional-II (Scientific) - 01 Post
Essential Qualifications : Post graduate in any discipline with minimum 55% marks from a recognized University/College. The candidate should have minimum one year of post qualification experience in relevant field / subject.
Monthly Consolidated remuneration : Rs. 42,000
Age Limit (yr) (Age relaxation as per rules) : 40 years

Application Procedure
Eligible candidates may apply by submitting their application (separately for each post) through Google sheet form and attaching the application format (Annexure 1) and detailed CV. Last date of application: 07 July 2025. The shortlisted candidate shall be called for interview as scheduled and suitable candidate may be selected on the basis of qualifications, experience and performance in the interview.

Interview date and time :
Consultant : 10th July 2025; 9 am
Young Professional : 11th July 2025; 9 am
Registration will be closed after 11 am
Venue : The interview will be held at ICMR–Regional Medical Research Centre, Gorakhpur, BRD Medical College Campus, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh–273013.
Candidates are advised to arrive on time and ensure they meet the stipulated date, time, and essential qualifications. Only those fulfilling the required eligibility criteria—pertaining to qualifications, age, experience, etc.—and whose original documents are verified by ICMR-RMRC, Gorakhpur will be eligible to participate in the interview.


General Terms & Conditions : 
1) All the positions will be governed as per the revised ICMR’s guidelines for engaging Consultant / Young Professionals (No. 16/84/2024-Admn./ e-171470 dated 26/11/2024). 
2) The positions shall be engaged purely on contractual and temporary basis. 
3) Initial engagement will be for one year which is extendable for two more years (01 year at a time) subject to requirement of the services of the Consultant/ Young Professional in the organization, and satisfactory performance of the candidate after evaluation by the Competent Authority of the Centre. Thus, maximum duration of engagement is three years (1+1+1) in any case. 
4) Cut-off date for age limit will be as on the date of interview. Age relaxation will be as per the guidelines of ICMR. Candidates meeting the age criteria and possessing the required qualifications and experience, may appear for interview with the prescribed application form. All related educational documents, latest photograph/experience certificates, should be enclosed/brought failing which application shall be rejected. 
5) Selection of Candidates will be based on the educational qualifications, relevant experience and performance in the interview. 
6) Candidates have to submit the duly self –attested copies of proof of their age, educational qualifications, experiences, testimonials etc. at the time of joining, if selected. 
7)  Allotment of duties to the successful candidates will be decided by the competent authority at its discretion. 
8) Qualification & experience should be in relevant discipline/field and from an Institution of repute. Experience should have been gained after acquiring the minimum essential qualification. Mere fulfilling the essential qualification does not guarantee the selection. 
9) The appointees would not be permitted to take up any other remunerative or honorary assignment either part time or fulltime during the engagement period. 
10) The candidate shall be paid a fixed consolidated monthly remuneration, based on an explicit certificate from the Head on the satisfactory performance and attendance. The amount of remuneration so fixed shall remain unchanged for the term of contract. No other allowance shall be admissible. 

11) Persons already in regular time scale service under any Government Department/ Organizations are not eligible to apply. Engagement of retired personal shall not be considered as re-employment case 
12) No TA/DA will be paid to attend interview / personal discussion and candidates have to arrange transport/accommodation themselves. 
13) The ICMR– RMRC, Gorakhpur reserves the right to consider or reject any application/candidature without assigning any reason thereof and no correspondence/recommendation will be entertained in this matter. 
14) Submission of wrong or false information during the process of selection shall disqualify the candidature at any stage. 
15) Leave shall be as per the ICMR’s guidelines for engaging Consultant / Young Professionals. 
16) The ICMR-RMRC, Gorakhpur reserves the right to cancel/modify the process at any time, at its discretion and reserves the right to terminate the candidate even during the agreed contract period or extended contract period without assigning any reason. 
17) Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification. The decision of the Competent Authority will be final and binding.
