Post : Senior Research Fellow (1 Position)
Online Walk-in interview for the following position at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad.
Project Title : “Development and evaluation of recombinant BCG vaccine expressing multi-epitope antigens against bovine tuberculosis.”
Tenable up to : Initially for six months and subject to extension based on performance.
Eligibility criteria : Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, etc. with 2 years’ duration and NET / GATE qualification along with 2 years of research experience after Post-graduation in any of the following relevant field.
Experience : (Candidate with prior experience in any of the following areas will be preferred.)
i. BSL3 work experience, in vitro culturing of Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
ii. Cell culture experience: handling of primary PBMC cells, mouse and human macrophage cells, and in vitro infection of macrophages with M. tuberculosis and other Mycobacterium species.
iii. ABSL3 work experience in handling mouse and guinea pigs, immunization, blood collection dissection, organ harvesting etc.
iv. Immune assays such as ELISA, FACS/MACS, Immunofluorescence Microscopy. v. LCMS based proteome and transcriptome data analysis
Upper Age limit : 50 years
Fellowship amount : Rs. 35,000/- PM + HRA (If applicable) for candidates with National Eligibility Test (NET) or GATE qualification and other terms as per DST guidelines
