BRIC-NABI Biomanufacturing Center requires Technical Officer

BRIC-National Agri-Food and Biomanufacturing Institute (formerly National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute & Centre of Innovative and applied Bioprocessing) is an autonomous Institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. BRIC-NABI aims at catalysing the transformation of the Agri-food sector in India by being a nodal organization for knowledge generation and translational science leading to value-added products based on Agri-Food biotech innovations for improved household nutritional security. BRIC-NABI is involved in research activities for Bio-fortification, the development of designer crops for improved nutrition, providing sustainable and novel solutions for quality food and nutrition, and the development of evidence-based functional foods to counter malnutrition.

The agri-food and nutritional biotechnology and biomanufacturing division at BRIC-NABI requires the following personnel purely on a temporary basis under the project entitled BRIC-NABI Biomanufacturing Center “Agri-Food Bio-Mug” for a period up to 27.03.2027, with the possibility of further extension of the project. The project is on setting up an integrated pilot plant facility (up to 1000 Litre processing capacity) for bioprocessing of agricultural waste biomass (lignocellulose), microbial source, and industrial waste into biochemicals and high-value commercial products (bio-colorant, bio-pesticide, smart protein, low-calorie sweetener, enzymes, etc.). Furthermore, the biomanufacturing plant setup is a DCS/SCADA automated process system consisting of batch and/or continuous aerobic fermentation, product downstream (centrifugation, filtration, drying) and packaging operations.

Application Procedure & Other Conditions
1. All interested candidates Indian Citizens may appear for Walk-In-Interview at BRIC -National Agri-Food and Biomanufacturing Institute located at Knowledge city, Sector-81, Mohali, Punjab- 140306, As per the date and time mentioned against the posts above along with the duly filled application form available on the website nabi.res.in.
2. Incomplete application forms and applications that are not in proper format may be summarily rejected.
3. The applications should be submitted strictly as per the prescribed format that can be downloaded from the BRIC-NABI website. 4. Candidates applying for more than one position are required to submit a separate application for each.
5. Candidates should ensure that information mentioned in the application form is accurate. Once the application form is submitted no further request regarding any changes/ information in the application form will be considered.
6. The duly filled application form must be submitted at the time of registration at BRIC-NABI from 09:00 AM as per the date of walk in interview.
7. The candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed.
8.. All the candidates are requested to appear for a Walk-In interview with an application form, experience certificates, original degree certificates/ transcripts/CV etc.
9. Original mark sheets, certificates, award/fellowship, etc must be accomplished for verification at the time of walk-in interview, and attach one set of attested copies of the documents with the application form.
10. The experience requirement specified above shall be the experience acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualifications specified for the post.

11. The positions are strictly temporary and will terminate upon the completion of the project. Candidates shall have no claim to regular or permanent employment thereafter.
12. Interim enquiries will not be entertained.
13. Canvassing in any form or bringing influence, political or otherwise, will lead to disqualification of the candidate(s).
15. In the event of exceptional circumstances, candidates may give request via email techasstnabi@gmail.com to BRIC-NABI, Mohali to conduct their interviews online. Such requests must be submitted well in advance along with filled application form latest by 22nd January, 2026. However, the final decision will be taken by the selection committee to ascertain the special circumstances and allow the candidate (s) for an online interview. The Institute reserves the right to conduct the interview in online/offline mode. No online interview request will be considered after 22nd January, 2026.
