Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology Fellowship at BITS Pilani

Applications are invited for ONE position of Research Fellow on a project, “Development of Targeted Therapeutics Against Enterobacter cloacae Using T6SS Immunity Protein Inhibition” under the supervision of Prof. Prabhat Nath Jha (Dept. of Biological Sciences CSIS) and Prof. S. Murugesan (Dept. of Pharmacy).

ONE Position of Cross-Disciplinary Research Fellow

Scope of work : This project aims to develop a species-specific therapeutic strategy that exploits E. cloacae's survival mechanism against T6SS- delivered toxic effector molecules. The project includes in-silico screening of small molecules specific to the target protein, antimicrobial assays, generation of gene knockouts employing molecular approaches, and validation of molecular interactions.

Essential Qualification : M.E / M.Tech./ M.Pharm / M.Sc.Tech or an equivalent degree(a minimum of 60%aggregate) in
• Biotechnology
• Pharmacy
• Microbiology
• Life Sciences or related discipline.

Desirable Qualification :
• Research experience through M.Sc./ M.Tech / M.Pharm dissertation/ thesis
• Exposure to molecular biology experiments

Fellowship : ₹37,000 - ₹42,000 per month (As per the institute norms)

Duration : As per BITS Pilani norms
