Department : Process Engineer (NDDS Formulation)
Qualification : B.Tech / M.Tech (Chemical or Pharmaceutical Engineering) or M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics).
Experience :
• 5-10 years of experience in NDDS process development or injectable/ sterile manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in scale-up and technology transfer is essential.
Role Purpose :
The Process Engineer - NDDS Formulation is responsible for the development, scale-up, and technology transfer of novel and complex drug delivery systems (NDDS), ensuring robust, scalable, and regulatory-compliant manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities :
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for NDDS formulations such as liposomes, nanoparticles, microspheres, long-acting injectables, and controlled-release parenterals.
• Support laboratory to pilot and commercial scale-up activities.
• Execute technology transfer to manufacturing sites and CDMOs.
• Prepare and review process documentation including BMRs, SOPs, and process flow diagrams.
• Support engineering, exhibit, and validation batch execution.
• Ensure readiness for aseptic processing, sterile filtration, lyophilization, and fill-finish operations.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, QbD, and data integrity requirements.
• Support CTD/ANDA/NDA documentation related to process development.
• Participate in audits and respond to regulatory queries as required.
• Work closely with Formulation R&D, Analytical Development, QA, QC, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, and external partners.
