Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST) invites applications for Post-Doctoral Research Fellows. Selected Post-Doctoral Fellows will work in interdisciplinary major projects with faculty of INST. Interested candidates should have strong research interest in Nano Science and Technology (Drug delivery, sensors, energy, agriculture, water purification, scanning probe microscopy, high resolution electron microscopy, smart materials, devices, microfluidics, industrial and societal technologies).

Principal Investigator: Dr. Sharmistha Sinha, Scientist-D, INST, Mohali
Essential qualifications: M.Sc. or M.Tech. In Biology/ Chemistry/ Agricultural science (plant protection/ crop management etc.,) /Engineering with NET/ GATE score
Desirable Experience: Research experience in Biochemistry/Biophysics/Molecular Biology is preferred but not must.
Age limit: Must not be over 28 years as on 1st February, 2017 which is relaxed up to 5 years for SC/ ST/ PH/ OBC candidates.
Salary: Rs. 25,000 per month (consolidated)
Project duration: 12 months and likely to be extended at mutual agreement

General Term and Condition:
The position is temporary and initially the position is for 12 months. Candidate selected for this position can also apply for the regular Ph.D. program provided they satisfy the eligibility criterion for Ph.D. program as in INST norms.
Original documents of age proof/ certificates/ degrees/ mark sheets and other testimonials must be presented at the time of interview. Attested photocopies of these documents will be collected at the time of interview. Walk In Interview will be conducted on 16th January 2017 at 11.00 am.
Walk-In-Interview will be conducted in Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali, on January 16th 2017 at 11.00 am to select one JRF in “SERB EMR” project. Application is invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the following research project funded by SERB, Government of India.
