Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) is an Autonomous Institution of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. IPC is created to set standards of drugs in the country. Its basic function is to update regularly the standards of drugs commonly required for treatment of diseases prevailing in this region. It publishes official documents for improving Quality of Medicines by way of adding new and updating existing monographs in the form of Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP). It further promotes rational use of generic medicines by publishing National Formulary of India.

Applications are invited for the following posts on contract basis in the Biologies Section of Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC). (Autonomous Organization under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare) at Ghaziabad. under the DST sponsored National Facility Project titled "Development of National Laboratory facility for setting quality standard for r-DNA based therapeutics". The project is sanctioned for a period of three years and the term of the appointees is co-termmable with the project.

Research Associate - 1 post
Essential: (a) Ph.D in Biotechnology with first class M.Sc in Biotechnology; or
(ii) M.Pharm. first class with three years of relevant experience in research or industry; or (iii) M.Tech in Biotechnology with three years of relevant experience in research or industry.
(b) Experience in analysis of r-DNA based therapeutics/Biotherapeutics. Hands-on expenence in ELISA Western blot and HPLC.

Desirable: (i) Handling of LCMS. Capillary electrophoresis and other modem analytical equipment;
(ii) Research publications in peer reviewed journals.

Remuneration
Basic Rs 35. 000 per month*+HRA (@ 24% of base) (without any other allowances benefits)

Age Limit : No age limit

Senior Research Fellow - 1 post
Essential: (a) (i) M.Pharm. first class with two years of relevant experience in research or industry; or
(ii) M.Tech. first class in Biotechnology with two years of relevant experience in research or industry; or
(iii) M.Sc. first class in Biotechnology with two years of relevant experience in research or industry.
(b) Two years of relevant experience in research or industry in analysis of r-DNA based therapeutics/Biotherapeutics along with experience in Cell Culture Studies.

Desirable:
(I) Knowledge of HPLC, LCMS, capillary electrophoresis and other modem analytical techniques;
(ii) Research publications in peer reviewed journals.

Remuneration
Basic Rs 35. 000 per month*+HRA (@ 24% of base) (without any other allowances benefits)

1. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview. It is not obligatory on the part of IPC to call for interview every candidate who possesses the essential qualification.
