The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) is the new state-of-the-art R&D satellite of the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), which also includes under its umbrella the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), the largest cancer hospital in Asia. ACTREC has the mandate to function as a national centre for treatment, research and education in cancer. TMC is an autonomous grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India.

Shanti Niketan Education Society was founded by a group of eminent educationist in 2003 (Reg.No. 54). It has been in the forefront of providing education in the township Vill-Malther, P.O.-Ratti, Distt-Mandi (H.P.) and its surrounding areas. Shanti Niketan College was started in the year of 2003. Through one of its components- ‘Women Scientists Scheme-C (WOS-C)'- it provides one year on-the-job training in the area of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). Patent Facilitating Centre (PFC) of Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC) has been entrusted with implementation of WOS-C.
