The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) is the new state-of-the-art R&D satellite of the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), which also includes under its umbrella the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), the largest cancer hospital in Asia. ACTREC has the mandate to function as a national centre for treatment, research and education in cancer. TMC is an autonomous grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act (1860) and the Bombay Public Trust Act (1950). Its Governing Council is headed by the Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission, Government of India.

Post : Junior Research Fellow

PROJECT
To work on project entitled "Understanding the basis of Interaction between proapoptotic serine protease HtrA2/Omi and cell death regulatory protein GRIM-19"

Job Description: To perform protein purification, site-directed mutagenesis, enzymology and biophysical experiments including circular dichroism, fluorescence spectroscopy and ITC. Knowledge of these techniques is required. Experience with mammalian cell culture is desirable.

Qualifications: * *Master degree in biochemistry, biotechnology and Life sciences from a recognized university and M.Sc. degree obtained with not less than 60% aggregate marks.

Experience: Minimum one year experience in recombinant protein purification, molecular biology, enzymology, protein biochemistry and biophysical experiments including circular dichroism and fluorescence spectroscopy is preferred.
*M.Sc. degree having duration of one year course will not be considered.

Consolidated Salary : 40,300/-per month.

Duration : Five Months

Eligible Candidates may attend the walk in interview on Monday, 11th March, 2018 at Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, Khanolkar Shodhika, ACTREC along with recent CV & original and attested copies of all certificates and testimonials with recent passport size photograph.
