Post : Associate PAT Scientist

The Associate PAT Scientist for the Drug Product Continuous Manufacturing area supports the process knowledge and process control enhancement activities using sound data science and numerical analysis, applied throughout a process lifecycle (from development to continuous improvement).

Job Description
• Develop, implement, and maintain model based methods using multivariate analysis as part of an enhanced process control strategy, including Real Time Release testing, under cGMP and following a Quality by Design approach;
• Closely work with Operations, support of development and commercial manufacturing activities for continuous processes;
• Design and execute PAT based experiments for process and product understanding aiming at process development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement;
• Analyze process data and statistical process control;
• Advance the company's profile through written papers and presentations/workshops at conferences;
• Create development protocols and technical reports;
• Manage assigned PAT relate activities for projects;
• Manage PAT equipment under his/her responsibility;
• Provide technical review of equipment qualification protocols and reports;
• Actively follow Knowledge Management principles in everything he/she does to promote a proper application of existing knowledge and to keep captured knowledge up to date;
• Promote the importance of a continuous improvement culture, mitigating any tendency for complexity

Candidate Profile

  • M.S. degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy or equivalent degree in scientific area and at least 2 years of relevant experience;
  • Demonstrated skills in numerical and data analysis, statistical process control, and Design of Experiments;
  • Experience with functional programming (e.g. Matlab, R, Visual Basic, Python, etc.);
  • Knowledge in developing and implementing multivariate models;
  • Analytically minded and problem solving attitude
  • Results driven, positive attitude, able to deal with multiple projects/tasks simultaneously;
  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity at all times;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal are required;
  • Availability to travel abroad to support projects transfer or implementation;
  • Ability to work on own initiative;
  • Excellent computer skills e.x. MS Word, Excel, Outlook;
  • Pragmatic, resilient, proactive, creative, innovative and with high ethical standards.
