The Indian Registry of Pathology (IRP) was established in 1965 under the auspices of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) in New Delhi, India as a Centre for collection and distribution of teaching material in pathology. The Registry was renamed in 1980 as the National Institute of Pathology (IOP) in view of its expanded scope and activities. As per the need of the post-independence era when a large number of new medical colleges were coming up, IRP took up the initiative with the original aims and objectives of collection, classification, duplication and distribution of a representative spectrum of histopathological teaching material to several medical colleges, institutions, individual pathologists and clinicians. Further, the Registry provided a consultative machinery through the medium of consultative panels for different branches of special pathology alongwith the gradual development of a training center for pathologists, technicians, etc.....

Post : Research Assistant (One)

Following position would be filled up purely on temporary contract basis for an ad-hoc research project entitled "Developing predictive model for the early detection of Intrauterine Growth Restriction (IUGR) in new-borns from polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons comentration (PAHs) in maternal blood" under Dr. Neeraj Kumar, Scientist D', through online interview. at IMR-National Institute of Pathology. New Delhi.

Essential Qualification :  M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology / Life Sciences / Environmental Science having 1st Division.
Maximum age limit : 30 years on the date of Interview


Emoluments : 31,000/-p.m. (Consolidated) .
Desirable / Preference : Working knowledge in toxicology, bioinformatics or other life sciences laboratories. Knowledge of collection and maintenance of biological samples Knowledge of R statistical programming language Experience in machine learning techniques

Tenure : The period of appointment will be about four months or till the end of the project.

The posts are purely temporary, co-terminate with the project, and the incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointment/employment under ICMR-NIOP or continuation in other project and his/her engagement will be deemed terminated immediately after expiry of the project/tenure.  
3. Candidates employed in Govt. Service /Semi Govt. /Autonomous Bodies ot State/Central Govt, should submit a "No Objection Certificate” from their employer.  
4. The interview will be conducted in the online mode and the shortlisted candidates will be noli Hed for the data and time of the interview.
