About KBIPER
K.B. Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (KBIPER), a constituent college of Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya, is the first self-financed pharmacy institution in Gujarat and has been approved by AICTE and PCI. KBIPER offers B. Pharm., Pharm. D., M. Pharm., and Ph.D. courses. Through the scholarly pursuits of teaching, research and service, KBIPER is dedicated to preparing pharmacy professionals committed to life long learning, fostering excellence and innovations in research and developing and participating in professional practice and community outreach. The institution is also committed to provide continuing education to academicians, researchers and other health care professionals.
Content of the workshop
The workshop is designed to impart comprehensive knowledge about research. Following topics will be discussed during the workshop:
- Formulating a research problem
- Literature survey
- Use of software such as Endnote, for managing references
- Design of Experiments
- Use of computer software in design of experiments
- Biostatistics in research
- Good Laboratory Practices
- Clinical Research
- Importance of documentation in research
- Research and Publication ethics
- Writing research thesis
- Writing research paper
- Presentation skills
Practical sessions will include:
Hands-on training of analytical techniques like HPLC, HPTLC, UV- visible spectroscopy, and Spectrofluorimetry
Hands-on training of animal handling
Introduction
The goal of the workshop is to inspire and orient the post- graduate and doctoral students towards research. The workshop is intended to impart essential knowledge and training to enable the students to conduct their research project in the most appropriate manner.
Who should attend?
M. Pharm. students, Ph.D. scholars and academicians, who are keen to get insight into the intricacies of research and to get hands-on exposure to sophisticated laboratory instruments.
Registration
Candidates interested in attending the workshop are requested to fill up the registration form and send it to KBIPER on or before 6th July 2016. Registration fee: Rs. 600 (Fee includes charges for registration kit, tuition, tea/coffee and lunch.)
Registration through email will be accepted on receipt of fees. Send the completed registration form along with the fee by demand draft or cheque (in favour of K. B. Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, payable at Gandhinagar).
Cancellations will not be accepted less than 7 days prior to the start of the workshop, but substitutions may be made at any time.
