In the year of 2011, the Department of Pharmacy has completed 60 years of its existence as a premier ins titution in the field of Pharmacy Education and Research in India and abroad. NABL is a signatory to Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC) and International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) since 2000. As a result of these MRA’s, test / calibration reports of NABL accredited laboratories are considered equivalent to the reports issued by accredited laboratories in 60 countries.
NABL has been growing exponentially by scaling up in number of accredited laboratories in existing areas and adding new areas of accreditation to keep pace with the science and technology. To meet this expansion, we wish to recruit outstanding candidates who can realize the management practice and structure to cope with the expansion.

At the Repository of Tomato Genomics Resources, we are working on Tomato Functional Genomics, using TILLING, Insertional Mutagenesis, Exome Capture, Genome Editing, proteomics and metabolomics approaches to study fruit ripening in tomato. The current aims of the group include using reverse and forward genetics strategies to isolate tomato mutants delayed in ripening, having high lycopene and folate content in tomato fruits and analysis of light and hormonal signal transduction pathways.

Currently, we have following positions available in the projects “Manipulation of light signaling components for improvement of tomato fruit quality” and “Interaction between proteome and metabolomic networks during tomato fruit ripening” awarded to Dr. Y.
