Project title : An AI-Driven Platform for Discovering and Validating Anti- Aggregation Compounds for Alzheimer’s and Related Neurodegenerative Diseases

Consolidated Monthly Remuneration including HRA : Rs. 60,000 - 90,000/- including HRA
House Rent Allowance per month (If applicable) @30% payable by funding agency and applicable as per Institute norms
Duration of appointment : One year

Essential Qualification / Experience as per the norms
Ph.D./MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal. The percentage/grade points with respect to the academic qualification will be a minimum 60% or equivalent grade from graduation onwards and 55% or equivalent grade in class 10th and 12th.

Desirable Qualification/Experience
• Research experience in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computational Chemistry, Biophysics, or allied disciplines.
• Demonstrated expertise in molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, molecular docking, Cheminformatics, virtual screening, molecular modelling, and computational analysis of protein–ligand interactions.
• Proficiency in relevant computational tools and platforms (e.g., GROMACS, AMBER, AutoDock, Schrödinger, RDKit) and programming languages such as Python.
• Familiarity with AI/ML approaches for drug discovery or molecular property prediction will be an added advantage.
• Evidence of relevant research expertise through peer-reviewed publications, or demonstrated research outcomes. Research scholars who have submitted their theses and are likely to defend soon may also submit the application.

Job Description
The Research Associate will contribute to computational research activities under the project,
Key responsibilities include :
• Perform MD simulations, molecular docking, and computational studies of protein-ligand interactions.
• Undertake cheminformatics analysis, virtual screening, and structure-based identification and optimization of potential therapeutic molecules.
• Develop and implement computational workflows for molecular modelling, simulation, and analysis of biological systems.
• Integrate computational predictions with experimental findings to support hypothesis generation, compound prioritization, and validation.
• Collaborate with experimental and AI/ML research teams to support interdisciplinary research objectives.
• Analyze and interpret computational results, prepare scientific reports and manuscripts, and contribute to project deliverables.
