Established in 1973, Kumaun University consists of three campuses at Almora , Nainital and Bhimtal; 3 5 affiliated government colleges; and almost equal number of affiliated self-financed private institutions spread across the Kumaun region. The total area covered by the university thus far is an impressive 160 acres. The beautifully designed colleges blend in perfectly with the surrounding architecture and complete the breath taking scenery. In order to cater the technical, professional and vocational education, another campus of the University is being developed at Bhimtal.

The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai was established as the Department of Chemical Technology on 1st October 1933 by the University of Mumbai, through active support of industries and philanthropists. The Institute was most popularly known as UDCT, Mumbai. Research has been an integral part of ICT since its inception and it has created over 500 first generation entrepreneurs. The UDCT grew significantly in stature and was granted autonomy under UGC regulations by the University of Mumbai and further converted into an Institute on 26th January 2002. Under the World Bank TEQIP programme, the Maharashtra government granted it full autonomy in June 2004.

HITS has proudly established its health professional course that links health sciences and chemical sciences in 2005. The rapid growth of population demands better health care facilities and innovative research studies in pharmaceutical and bio-tech industry. As there is unprecedent demand for pharmacist’s today VPR has taken a forward step and started college of pharmacy which produced University top rankers and gold medalists.

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hyderabad is an "Institute of National Importance" with proclaimed objectives of becoming Centre of Excellence for advanced research in pharmaceutical sciences. NIPER-Mohali was the first institute established in the year 1998 under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, the Govt. of India. Later, the DOP established 6 new NIPERs across the country including NIPER-Hyderabad which started functioning from 19th October 2007, from the premises of erstwhile R&D Centre of IDPL, Balanagar, Hyderabad.

Dattakala College of Pharmacy has been established in 2014. The Dattakala Shikshan Sanstha has about 30 acres campus and is situated at Gat No.541 &527, Swami-Chincholi, Tal-Daund, Dist-Pune. This campus is near Bhigwan town and is connected by road (Pune-Solapur Highway 100 km) and rail (Bhigwan Station 4Km.). Our college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi, Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, Government of Maharashtra / Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai, and is affiliated to Savitribhai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Pune
