Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU), is the first Pharmacy University of India established by an Act7 of 2008 of State Legislature of Delhi as a State University vide Notification No.F. 2(412)/2008/SB/Vol. II/71 dated 21.01.2010 and is empowered to award degrees as specified by the UGC under section 22 of the UGC Act 1956 through its own departments and constituent colleges in regular mode vide notification No. F.9-19/2015/(CPP-I/PU) dated 22nd September 2015.

The B. S. Anangpuria Institute of Pharmacy was established in the pleasant and peaceful environs of Faridabad. Situated a lush, verdant 41 acre campus, the college began by offering a Degree Course in 2003 and then Diploma course started in 2005. Degree course is affiliated to Pt. P. B. D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak whereas the Diploma is affiliated to State Board of Technical Education, Haryana. Both the courses are duly approved by A.I.C.T.E., Pharmacy Council of India, Delhi & Govt.

Sarada Vilas Educational Institution dates back to 1861, when it had a glorious beginning, with its founder the illustrious Rao Bahadur Bakshi Narasappa starting in Mysore city a school called  Sarada Vilas Patashala to teach Sanskrit with the Royal patronage of His Higness, the Late Maharaja Sri Mummadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar. It soon shot into prominence, became a full-fledged primary school in 1870, and established itself at Lawnsdown building in 1901 with orientation to Anglo Sanskrit teaching.
