Department of Pharmaceuticals was created on 1 July, 2008 under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers with the objective to give focused attention on the Development of Pharmaceuticals Sector; ensure availability of quality medicines at affordable prices and to promote R&D including International Cooperation. This Department is required to share expert opinion on matters related to drugs, Medical Device, Pricing etc., and also comments are being frequently asked by other Ministries/Departments and other agencies relating to pharmaceuticals. This Department also implements flagship schemes for which technical and implementation support by technical experts is important. Hence, for helping the department in effective delivery of work, particularly relating to work of technical nature requiring domain knowledge and expertise, it has been proposed to engage the following technical consultants in the Department.

The Cabinet Secretariat is responsible for the administration of the Government of India (Transaction of Business) Rules, 1961 and the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules 1961, facilitating smooth transaction of business in Ministries/ Departments of the Government.

National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC) has been set up under the National Health Mission (NHM) as an autonomous registered society, to channelize technical assistance and capacity building support to the states for strengthening the public health system. The NHSRC is also mandated to contribute towards National strategic health planning and programme design. Work at the NHSRC is organised around seven divisions, namely – Community Processes & Comprehensive Primary Care (CP-CPHC), Quality Improvement, Public Health Planning, Public Health Administration, Healthcare Financing & Healthcare Technology and Human Resources for Health.

On August 7, 2014 vide extraordinary Gazette notification Part –II Section-3, Sub Section(ii) New Delhi Thursday August 7, 2014, Department of AIDS Control has been merged with Department of Health & Family Welfare and now be known as National AIDS Control Organization (NACO). As per the amendment in allocation of business rules vide Cabinet secretariat’s Notification Number- 1/21/35/2014-Cab dated December 8, 2014,Department of AYUSH has been made Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) with focused attention on development of education and research in Ayurveda, Yoga & naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy systems.

The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of AYUSH. The Council carries out its activities and functions through its network of 31 Institutes. The Headquarters of the Council is situated in Delhi at the above address.

Govt, of India invites applications from Indian Citizens/individuals/institutional consultants for the posts of Forensic Consultants on contractual basis for undertaking day today scientific activities such as preparing proposal on department policies and Forensic domain specific plans & proposals. Quality Control and Quality Assurance in the Labs, Laboratory Accreditation, implementation of work relating Police Modernization Grant Scheme to the States, State Action Plan for Forensic Science Development, execution and monitoring the Nirbhaya funds, procurement of equipments, Cyber forensic /networking, Forensic Training, dispensation of legal issues and dealing with courts related matters including legal service and advice, handling of the work concerning Budgetary aspects. Financial matters and General administrative issues.

Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) is attached office of the Department of Health & Family Welfare and has subordinate offices spread all over the country.
