Due to high demand for medical education and a deficient patient care services in the southern part of Haryana which was the then part of Punjab, it was shifted to Rohtak in 1963 during the tenure of Sardar Partap Singh Kairon who was then Chief Minister of Punjab.

Ambe Durga Education society was established in the year 1997. The trust got registration certificate under Societies Registration Act, 1860 and Bombay Public Act, 1950 the registration number are MAH-663/1997 and F-14563 respectively. The vision of society is to provide the basic and higher education in Pharmacy profession to every person. To achieve these goals Ambe Durga Education Society started Dadasaheb Balpande College of Pharmacy, in the year 2006 offering a four year Degree course in Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) with the intake capacity of 60 seats. With the constant quest for excellence, the Dadashab Balpande College of Pharmacy (DBCOP) introduced a Post-Graduate Course in Pharmacy (M. Pharm.) in two specializations (Pharmaceutics and Quality Assurance) in 2012-13 and Diploma in Pharmacy in 2015-16.
