CSIR Innovation complex Recruitment 2026 - Interview for Pharma, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Biotechnology candidates

CSIR-Innovation Complex, Mumbai is a unit under Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), an autonomous body with Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India). CSIR Innovation Complex, Mumbai (C-ICM) has been established with the aim to establish the world-class translational capabilities and incubation facilities in the country to support start-ups, MSMEs and academic/government research institutions. 

C-ICM is looking for the qualified candidates (Indian Nationals) who meet the necessary educational and work requirements to work on the identified projects. The engagement is purely on temporary and contract basis; and shall be initially for a period of one year which is extendable by another year based on the performance. The location of the project activities will be at Mumbai and duration of the project is three years.

Project Scientist-III Analytical Chemistry/Bioanalysis (01 post)
Post Code : PS-III
Age Limit : 45 years
Stipend (monthly) : Rs. 78,000/- + HRA; Increment of 5% for every 2 years of experience in the same project
Essential Qualification : Doctoral Degree in Science or Masters/Integrated Masters in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent AND 7 years experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services in the above areas. Area of Specialization: Analytical Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Analysis/Pharmaceutical Sciences/Life Sciences.
Desirable Qualification : Work experience in operation, troubleshooting and interpretations of data/observations of modern spectroscopic and chromatographic method development and validation, instruments like LC-MS/MS, GCMS/MS, HPLC, ICPMS, NMR etc. Candidate is expected to have working experience in method development and bioanalytical methods, knowledge of regulatory guidelines relevant to ADME-PK/Tox and establishing/running accreditation laboratories such as NABL etc.

Project Scientist-III ADME-PK/Tox (01 post)

Age Limit : 45 years
Stipend (monthly) : Rs. 78,000/- + HRA; Increment of 5% for every 2 years of experience in the same project
Essential Qualification : Doctoral Degree in Science or Masters/Integrated Masters in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent AND 7 years experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services in the above areas. 
Area of Specialization : Pharmacology/Pharmaceutical Sciences/Toxicology/Life Sciences/Biotechnology.
Desirable Qualification : Hands-on Experience as evident through publications/patents in conducting ADME-PK and safety/toxicological studies in-vitro and in animal models for profiling of small molecules/biosimilar/biologics. Experience of working in GLP/GLP compliant facility and conducting experiments as per regulatory requirements.


Project Scientist-I Analytical/Bioanalysis (01 post)

Age Limit : 35 years
Stipend (monthly) : Rs. 56,000/- + HRA; Increment of 5% for every 2 years’ experience in the same project
Essential Qualification : Doctoral Degree in Science or Masters/Integrated Masters in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent AND 4 years experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services in the above areas. 
Area of Specialization: Analytical Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Analysis/Pharmaceutical Sciences/Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Pharmacology.
Desirable Qualification : Hands-on experience in operation, troubleshooting and interpretations of data/observations of modern spectroscopic and chromatographic instruments like LC-MS/MS, GCMS/MS, HPLC, ICPMS, NMR etc. Knowledge/experience of establishing and running accreditation laboratories such as NABL etc. Candidate with knowledge of the requirements of regulatory guidelines relevant to ADME-PK/Tox will be preferred.

Senior Project Associate ADME-PK (01 post)

Essential Qualification : (i) Masters/Integrated Masters in Degree from recognized university or equivalent AND 3 years experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services; OR (ii) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent AND 3 years experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services; OR (iii) Masters/Integrated Masters in Engineering or Technology in the areas as mentioned in (i) above from a recognized University AND 2 years experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services; OR (iv) Doctoral degree in Science/Pharma/MD/MS from a recognized University or equivalent in the areas mentioned in (i) above from recognized university AND 2 years experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services. 
Area of Specialization : Pharmacology/Pharmaceutical Sciences/Life Sciences/Biotechnology.
Desirable Qualification : Hands-on Experience in conducting ADME-PK studies in-vitro and in animal models for profiling of small molecules/biosimilar/biologics. Candidate with hands-on experience in animal cell culture and development of in vitro cell/tissue/organ based models will be of added advantage. Candidate is expected to have knowledge of the requirements of regulatory guidelines relevant to ADME-PK/Tox.

Senior Project Associate Analytical Chemistry (01 post)

Stipend (monthly) : Rs. 42,000/- + HRA
Essential Qualification : (i) Masters/Integrated Masters in Degree from recognized university or equivalent AND 3 years experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services; OR (ii) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent AND 3 years experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services; OR (iii) Masters/Integrated Masters in Engineering or Technology in the areas as mentioned in (i) above from a recognized University AND 2 years experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services; OR (iv) Doctoral degree in Science/Pharma/MD/MS from a recognized University or equivalent from recognized university AND 2 years experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations and scientific activities and services. 
Area of Specialization : Analytical Chemistry/Organic Chemistry/Pharmacology/Pharmaceutical Sciences/Life Sciences/Biotechnology.
Desirable Qualification : Hands-on experience in operation, troubleshooting and interpretations of data/observations of modern spectroscopic and chromatographic instruments like LC-MS/MS, GCMS/MS, HPLC, ICPMS, etc., preferably in the area of ADME-PK.

General Conditions
1. The date of determining qualification and age shall be the date of walk-in interview. 
2. Age relaxation as per Government of India/ funding agency norms: Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes, Divyangjan (PWD) and female applicants whereas 3 years in case of OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates. 
3. The engagement of selected candidates shall be temporary and co-terminus with the tenure of the project. Further, such an engagement shall not provide any right / claim for regularization for permanent post of CSIR in any manner directly or indirectly. The engagement may be terminated at any time at a notice of one month from either side or one-month stipend in lieu thereof. 
4. Engagement of the Project staff would be governed by the guidelines relating to engagement of project staff in Contract Research and Plan Projects / NMITLI Scheme under National Laboratories Scheme issued by CSIR vide OM No. 5-1(342)/2017-PD dated 02.09.2024. 
5. The project staff may be required to travel as per need. 
6. All applicants must fulfil the essential qualifications of the position and other conditions stipulated in the notification as on the date of interview. They are advised to satisfy themselves before appearing for interview that they possess the essential qualifications laid down for the position they are applying. No enquiry asking for advice as to eligibility will be entertained. 
7. Document/ Certificate furnished in a language other than Hindi or English, must be accompanied with an English transcript of the same duly attested by a Gazetted Officer or Notary. 
8. Candidates found suitable for selection will be empaneled. Empaneled candidates may be selected for future project requirements. 
9. Original certificates must be produced for verification at the time of interview. 
10. The Head, CSIR-Innovation Complex reserves the right to cancel the notification without assigning any reason thereof or reserves the right not to fill up the positions. The number of positions indicated against each position is provisional and may increase or decrease at the time of selection. 
11. The decision of the Head, CSIR-Innovation Complex in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications will be final and binding on candidates.

How to apply
1. The applicants should report/ appear for walk-in interview on 01st September,2026 at 9.30 am.
2. For the walk-in interview : a. The candidates must bring with them original certificates/ testimonials at the time of test/ interview along with two copies of self-attested photographs and a set of self- attested copies of certificates/ testimonials in support of age, qualification, marks obtained, experience etc. The candidates must also bring a copy of their bio-data neatly typed on A4 paper and a printout of the duly filled application form. 
b. The candidates belonging to reserved categories must bring their original certificate of categories to which they belong issued by the competent authority (along with self- attested copies of the same). 
c. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Interview.
d. If currently employed, then the candidate will have to furnish no-objection certificate from the current employer at the time of joining.
3. The candidature will be purely provisional subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
4. Canvassing in any form will render the candidate disqualified.
5. Candidates should also take a printout of the filled form and bring it with them at the time of interview.
