Vinayaka College of Pharmacy was established in 2008 and is managed by Vinayaka Educational Society through its Management Committee duly constituted as per the norms. Institute has been recognized by the Government of Himachal Pradesh and approved by AICTE & PCI, New Delhi. The Institute is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur. The Jeypore College of Pharmacy founded in the year 2000, has today grown to become one of the forefront educational institutes in KBK District. The history of Jamia Hamdard begins with the establishment of a small Unani clinic in the year 1906 by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, one of the well-known practitioners of Unani System of Medicine of his time. Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed had a vision of making the practice of Unani Medicine into a scientific discipline so that Unani medicines could be dispensed in a more efficacious manner to patients. Hamdard University is setting up Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (HIMSR) in its campus of Jamia Hamdard at Hamdard Nagar, New Delhi-110062.

The Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (CIFT) set up in 1957 is the only national center in the country where research in all disciplines relating to fishing and fish processing is undertaken. The institute started functioning at Cochin in 1957. Research centers function at Veraval (Gujarat), Visakhapatnam (AP) and Mumbai (Maharashtra).
