The Kamla Nehru Memorial Trust was established in 1973 by late Sri Kedar Nath Singh, a great visionary and philanthropist who believed that every individual deserves access to a quality education. Thapar University, (formerly Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology) is located in sprawling green campus comprising of more than 250 acres Thapar Technology Campus (TTC) in the historic city of Patiala. Bharat institute of Technology-Pharmacy (BIT) was established in the year 1999 by the CHMR Educational Society with the noble aim of imparting quality Pharmacy education to students aspiring to become responsible pharmacists and to cater to the needs of pharmacy profession. The college is situated in a sprawling 120 acres of campus situated 24 kms from the heart of the city. As a body enshrined in the Constitution of India, the Public Service Commission, West Bengal, has sincerely remained active in discharging its constitutional duties and living up to its tradition as inherited from the Bengal Public Service Commission that was formed under the Government of India Act,1935 and which started functioning with effect from April,1937.

Himalayan Institute of Pharmacy is a pioneer institute in the area of Pharmaceutical Education in the Himachal Pradesh State and established in the patronage of Maa Saraswati Educational Trust in 2007.
