Pharmaceutical Chemistry

The Nagpur University was established on 4th August, 1923 with six affiliated colleges and 927 students. During 1947, the number of students increased to about 9000 accompanied by the improvement and diversification of curricula and expansion in the range of subjects. The expansion of library and sports facilities occurred during these years for the intellectual and physical well being of the students. It was in 1958 that some new Departments in Arts and Social Science faculties were opened; the major expansion, however, came in 1963 when several science and other teaching Departments were started. The Departments were shifted to spacious buildings in the main campus in 1972-73. In later years, several career oriented courses have been started viz., Business Management, Fine Arts, Mass Communication, Library Science, Physical Education, etc.

CSIR- National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI), Lucknow, a premier plant science research institute under Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), is involved in multidisciplinary R&D programmes of both basic and applied nature across scientific disciplines for economic, environmental and societal benefits for the people of India. CSIR-NBRI undertakes cutting-edge research in all basic plant science disciplines including plant systematics and biodiversity, conservation biology, environmental biology, pharmacognosy, floriculture, plant-microbe interactions, plant biotechnology, genetic engineering and bioinformatics. Development of high quality plant-based commercial products, technologies and new plant varieties is the focus of applied plant science research in the Institute.

Mr. B. Premnath Reddy, a visionary with a passion for service founded the JMJ Education Society. Inspired by his father, Mr. B.M. Reddy’s active involvement in the pharmaceutical services he established ‘Acharya and B M Reddy College of Pharmacy’ during 1992, located at Soldevanahalli, Bangalore. The campus has been designed in such a way it is unique, student centric, with spacious, airy and well lit Class-rooms with projector facility, Seminar Halls and Laboratories. It has an impressive Olympic size stadium for all track and field and cultural events with an expansive green – grove. The campus is so eco- friendly in every way that it has got rainwater harvested lake and water treatment plant. It is a fully Wi-Fi enabled campus and it is complete with a vibrant student activity centre, canteen and residential halls.

Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology ,Ghaziabad is one of the pioneer institute in the field of Pharmacy , Engineering and  Management.  RKGIT (PHARMACY) started its journey in the yea 2004 under the ablE guidance of Late Shri Raj Kumar Goel ji. He is B. Tech and M. Tech from IIT. The term Pharmacy is derived from the Greek word "pharmakon", meaning drug. Pharmacy is an ever growing, dynamic, highly specialized and scientific, health oriented, patient-focused and research-based section of healthcare delivery system requiring precise expertise and technical skills.

The history of Jamia Hamdard begins with the establishment of a small Unani clinic in the year 1906 by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, one of the well-known practitioners of Unani System of Medicine of his time. Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed had a vision of making the practice of Unani Medicine into a scientific discipline so that Unani medicines could be dispensed in a more efficacious manner to patients.

Kalinga University, Raipur (C.G.) has emerged as a center of excellence of higher education in Central India.
