The Laboratory was established in 1941 as a research and production centre, known as Drug Research Laboratory of J&K State and was later taken over by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) of Govt. of India in December 1957 as Regional Research Laboratory, Jammu. In view of its core strength in natural products based drug discovery, the mandate of Institute was redefined in 2005 and its name changed to Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine.

The Services Selection Board has been constituted in exercise of powers conferred by Provision of Section 124 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir. The Rules have been made under SRO 194 of 1992 as amended upto date. The J&K Services Selection Board invites online application from eligible candidates for participation in the selection process for District/Divisional/UT Cadre posts shown in Annexure “A” to this Notification.

Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences was conceived with the following objectives to provide facilities of specialized medical care and particularly develop super specialties that would provide tertiary health-care. To provide need oriented education in medical sciences and clinical research. To develop a referral linkage between the primary, secondary and tertiary health-care Institutions of the State to achieve an optimum health delivery system.

Applications are invited as per Performa from eligible candidates for engagement for the newly created posts of 500 bedded temporary Covid Hospital in collaboration with the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government Of India vide G.O. No. 398-JK (HME) OF 2021 Dated 18.05.2021, initially for a period of one year extendable up to maximum of three years (One year at a time and further extension subject to good performance and conduct).
