    Columbia Institute of Pharmacy is promoted by Janpragati Education Society (JPES). It is managed by duly constituted Governing Body. The Institute was established in 2006 07. The motto was to impart value based education in the field of Pharmacy. Sincere efforts are made here to craft such helath care professionals who would provide exemplary services for the welfare of mankind. The Institute is currently running B. Pharm (120 seats) & M. Columbia Institute of Pharmacy has a beautiful campus at Tekari, 4 km from Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly (Vidhan Sabha). The Institute has a glorious building with spacious class rooms. Our laboratories are well equipped with sophisticated instruments. The library houses more than 11000 books and number of national and International journals. The Institute has medicinal plant garden, CPCSEA approved Animal House. Our faculties are well qualified and experienced. They come from different parts of country and they are our prime assets. Number of research projects are undergoing at the moment. Grant for conducting Seminar/ Workshop/ Staff development Programme/ Research were received from agencies like AICTE, ICMR, DBT, DST, CCOST. We believe in providing a healthy academic atmosphere for the students to achieve their goals. The MoU was signed in the context of European Commission and Sector Investment Programme (SIP). The State Health Resource Centre, Chhattisgarh was founded as additional technical capacity to the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Chhattisgarh and as a state-civil-society body whereas the ActionAid's role was to coordinate civil society organisations in setting up such a body. During the following two years the initial team was put together and the institution was made able to stand on its own. Since 2004 the SHRC has been functioning as a fully autonomous institution.

    Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University is Chhattisgarh's largest and oldest institution of higher education, founded in 1964, and named after the first chief minister of erstwhile Madhya Pradesh. The University has a sprawling campus in the western part of the capital of Chhattisgarh, Raipur. The campus of University is spread in 207 acres of land. There are Twenty-Nine teaching departments in the University. Out of which six departments buildings have been constructed recently.     ABSTRACT
    In the ancient age COPD has a variable natural history and not all individuals follow the same course about 15-20% of smokers develop clinically significant COPD. It is characterized by the airflow obstruction that is not fully reversible. It is predominantly caused by smoking, particularly occupational exposures, may also contribute to the development of COPD. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is diagnosed using a medical device called a spirometer, which measures air volume and flow, the main components of common clinical breathing tests (pulmonary function tests). Long-term exposure to lung irritants that damage the lungs and the airways usually is the cause of COPD. In this article we are focus about and detail review on the COPD.
