The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai was established as the Department of Chemical Technology on 1^st October, 1933 by the University of Mumbai, through active support of industries and philanthropists. The Institute was most popularly known as UDCT, Mumbai. Research has been an integral part of ICT since its inception and it has created over 500 first generation entrepreneurs.

Applications are invited for the teaching post of Assistant Professors in various departments of the Faculties / Colleges of the University. The application form along with the details of vacancies can be downloaded from the University website msubaroda.ac.in. The duly filled application form along with all necessary enclosures and a bank payment challan/demand draft drawn in favour of “The Registrar, The M.S. University of Baroda” of Rs.1000/- (Rs.250/- for SC & ST candidates) must reach the Registrar, The M. S. University of Baroda, Fatehgunj, Vadodara - 390002 on or before 23^rd January, 2014. The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963. The Institute was originally under the Government of undivided Punjab. After the reorganization of the state, the administrative control of the institute passed on to the Union Territory of Chandigarh in November 1966.  The Institute became an autonomous body under the Act of Parliament in 1967 functioning under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as ‘Beri-Beri’ Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Within a short span of seven years, this unit blossomed into a "Deficiency Disease Enquiry" and later in 1928, emerged as full-fledged "Nutrition Research Laboratories" (NRL) with Dr. McCarrison as its first Director. It was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.

Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology was established in the year 1987 as Regional Engineering College and was given the status of National Institute of Technology  (Deemed University) by the Government of India on October 17, 2002 under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi. Now the  Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has declared the Institute as “Institute of National Importance” under the act of Parliament-2007.  The Institute has been  placed amongst top 50 engineering institutions of the country as per the survey conducted by Mint-C Fore in the year 2008. The survey was based upon vital parameters, such as curriculum, quality of academic input, students’ care, admission procedure, infrastructure, placements and overall goodwill of the Institute. A large number of reputed Industrial houses in the country visit the Institution and select the final year students as Engineers/ Management Trainees. The highest pay package offered to the B Tech students (Batch 2005-2009) has been Rs 7.2 lakhs per annum by M/S NTPC Delhi.
