The college and society is named after a known legend Lala Ram Gopal Ji from Samalkha, Haryana. Lal Ram Gopal Ji's name is taken with great respect and honor by people at large due to his unselfish service to people. The Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) is a Comprehensive Cancer Centre with a mission to achieve the highest standards in patient care, cancer prevention, cancer research and professional development for oncology and allied disciplines. TMC is an autonomous body funded, controlled by the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. TMC is affiliated to Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI).

CSIR- Central Drug Research Institute (CSIR-CDRI), a premier drug research institute of India was inaugurated on 17th Feb 1951 by the then Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru with a vision to strengthen and advance the field of drug research and development in the country. The Institute has made significant accomplishments in the pursuit of its mission to New Drugs & Technologies for affordable healthcare for all, generation of knowledge base and nurturing future leaders for healthcare sector.

Sardar Patel College of Pharmacy, Gorakhpur was established in 2019 and approved by Pharmacy Council of India, Dr. A.P.J.A.K.T.U., Lucknow, A.I.C.T.E. New Delhi, and B.T.E.- Uttar Pradesh. College is dedicated to develop and nurture pharmaceutical education and research.
