Abstract
Microsatellites consist of tandemly repeated sequence, no more than 6 bases long. They are scattered throughout most eukaryotic genomes. The major characteristic that makes microsatellites as useful and powerful genetic tool is the extensive length polymorphism that first of all reflects allelic variation in the number of the tandemly arranged perfect repeats. Microsatellite are generally considered as the most powerful genetic marker.
A genetic marker is a gene or DNA sequence with a known location on a chromosome that can be used to identify individuals or species. Genetic marker that reveal polymorphisms at the DNA level are called molecular marker.
Molecular markers are called as DNA markers, which should be thought of as signs along the DNA trail that pinpoint the location of desirable genetic traits or indicate specific genetic differences.They are responsible for various neurological diseases and hence the same cause can now be utilized for the early detection of various diseases, such as, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder and Congenital generalized Hypertrichosis . These agents are widely used for forensic identification and relatedness testing, and are predominant genetic markers in this area of application.

ABSTRACT:
Prolotherapy is a technique which can be used to treat pain and injuries. Osteoarthritis is a disease acquired from daily wear and tear of joints and also due to injury. Prolotherapy is an injection technique which causes inflammation at the site of injection, new blood vessels form and mature, pain subsides and collagen density and tissue strength are increased. It works by stimulating the body’s own healing mechanism at the site of injection leading to long lasting relief of the injured area. This review focuses on the treatment of osteoarthritis using prolotherapy.

ABSTRACT
The demand of herbal products is now increasing tremendously in whole across the World especially in India. Elaeocarpus sphaericus (rudraksha), belonging to the family Elaeocarpeaceae is popular in indigenous system of medicine including Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani. Traditionally rudraksha is used for the treatment of various diseases like stress, anxiety, depression, palpitation, nerve pain, and epilepsy, and migraine, lack of concentration, asthma, hypertension, arthritis and liver diseases. Phytochemical study of rudraksha reveals that it contains indolizidine type of Alkaloids. Aqueous extract of leaves contains glycosides also. It also contains minerals, vitamins, steroids,flavanoids. Ethanolic extract of leaves contains gallic acid, ellagic acid & quercetin. This plant has also been proved to be a very good centre for researches for scientists. In the field of research, rudraksha has been found to possess various biological activities like anti-hypertensive, anti-depressant, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, analgesic, anti-diabetic and antioxidant activity. In view of its wide pharmacological and biological activities, it seems to behaving a great therapeutic potential. The present review aims to present current knowledge of major phyto-constituents, clinical studies with major emphasis on traditional and pharmacological activities.

ABSTRACT:
Connective tissue disease include the following state: rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, systemic lupus erythematosus, polyarteritis nodosa, gout, rheumatic fever and osteoarthritis, with the most  common forms of which are rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis and gout. Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, nonsuppurative inflammatory disease  of unknown cause affecting primarily peripheral synovial joint. the onset  is usually insidious, with  immunological reaction playing a major role. Common  medications for arthritis include nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). NSAIDs decrease pain, inflammation, and fever by blocking cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes. Understanding of the pharmacology of NSAIDs continues to evolve, but it is now thought that most NSAIDs block three different COX isoenzymes, known as COX-1, COX-2, and COX-3. COX-1 protects the lining of the stomach from acid. COX-2 is found in joint and muscle, and mediates effects on pain and inflammation. By blocking COX-2, NSAIDs reduce pain compared to placebo in patients with arthritis, low back pain, minor injuries, and soft tissue rheumatism. selective NSAIDs or “COX-2 selective NSAIDs” as drugs in the “coxib” class (celecoxib, rofecoxib, valdecoxib, etoricoxib, lumiracoxib). “partially selective NSAIDs” as other drugs shown to have partial in vitro COX-2 selectivity (etodolac, nabumetone, meloxicam).

ABSTRACT
Niosomes are a novel drug delivery system that are finding application in drug targeting antineoplastic treatment, leishmaniasis treatment, delivery of peptide drugs, transdermal drug delivery systems, cosmetics, immunological application of peptide drugs, carriers for haemoglobin, sustained release etc. A niosome is a non-ionic surfactant based liposomes. It is formed by cholesterol with the use of other excipients. The various methods used in the formation of niosomes such as ether injection method, sonication, microfluidization, hand shaking method for the different types of niosomes. The goal of this article focuses on the recent advances in niosomal drug delivery, potential advantages over other delivery systems, formulation methods, methods of characterization, limitation of niosomes, comparision of niosomes v/s liposomes, application of niosomes, marketed products of niosomes and the current research in the field of niosomes.

Abstract
Gastric emptying is a complex process and makes in vivo performance of the drug delivery systems uncertain. In order to avoid this variability, efforts have been made to increase the retention time of the drug-delivery systems for more than 12 hours. The Microballoons delivery systems are useful in such application. Microballoonsare gastro-retentive drug delivery systems based on non-effervescent approach. Microballoonsare in strict sense, spherical empty particles without core and ideally having a size less than 200 micrometer. Microballoonsare low-density systems that have sufficient buoyancy to float over gastric contents and remain in stomach for prolonged period. The drug is released slowly at desired rate resulting in increased gastric retention with reduced fluctuations in plasma drug concentration. Microballoons improve patient compliance by decreasing dosing frequency; better therapeutic effect of short half-life drugs can be achieved. These are primarily controlled release drug delivery systems, which gets retained in the stomach for longer periods of time, thus helping in absorption of drug for the intended duration of time. Gastric retentive drug delivery devices can be useful for the spatial and temporal delivery of many drugsbecause of buoyancy.
