Candidates with Masters degree M.Sc. or equivalent in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Life Sciences with minimum 60% aggregate marks relaxation will be given as per Govt. guideline from a recognized university with two years research experience
Candidates having M.Sc. or an equivalent qualification in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics or allied Life Science subjects with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade point are eligible to apply.
Candidates with knowledge in Immunology and hands-on experience in cell culture, molecular biology techniques and having experience in handling mice are desirable. Candidates who have qualified national level exam such as NET, GATE, GPAT, BET, etc. will be preferred.
Candidates with more than two years of research experience in applied biology, biotechnology, drug screening, bioprospecting, microbiology, proteomics, mass- spectrometry or a related field of life sciences
Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Life Sciences or any of the allied subjects. For the first position, research experience in cell culture techniques, transfections, and biochemistry and molecular biology is required. Prospective candidates with experience in malaria parasite biology, chimeric mouse studies and other infectious diseases shall also apply.
A need was felt to establish a nationally cohesive, interdisciplinary Ph.D. programme in biosciences to expand the scale of generating highly skilled, globally competitive human resource. It was envisioned that the trained human resource produced through this programme would be better equipped to provide bioscience-based pioneering solutions to contemporary problems relevant nationally and globally.
