Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the following project positions.
Post : Research Associate-I (01 position)
Project Title : DBT funded project “Technological innovations for development of functional foods from ethnic fermented foods of the Indian Himalayas” under Himalayan Bioresource Mission
Remuneration : Rs. 47,000/- + HRA@16% per month.
Upper age limit : 40 years for male candidates and 45 years in the case of female candidates as on the last date of application.
Eligibility criteria : Ph. D. in Biotechnology / Life Sciences or any of the allied subjects. An ideal candidate will be competent with working knowledge of characterizing fermented foods by using various omics approaches like metagenomics and metabolomics studies. Candidates should have First-author publication(s) in the field of fermented food and/or probiotics. Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis and are waiting for defense/viva voce may also apply. But for such candidates, the fellowship amount will be that of an SRF until he/she defends the thesis.
Desirable qualifications : 1-2 years post PhD experience
