The University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the Panjab University is a premier institution of Pharmaceutical Education and Research in the country. The institute has covered a long and glorious journey of 76 years starting from Lahore in 1944 and finally settling to the present campus in Chandigarh at the foothills of Himachal. In its travelogue, the institute crossed multiple milestones and continue to head ahead towards the well-defined goals.

The North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, established on 15th August, 1990 under the Maharashtra Universities Act, XXIX of 1989, started its academic and administrative functioning from the academic year 1991-92. Within the span of 3 years, the University is recognized under section 2 (f) in 1991 and 12 (B) in 1994 under the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956. The jurisdiction of the University is extended over three districts i.e. Jalgaon, Dhule and Nandurbar, a pre-dominantly tribal and rural area of Khandesh region.

National Centre for Flexible Electronics (NCFIexE) is organizing a round table meet to identify areas of applications of large area flexible electronics for Healthcare and Packaging Industries.

Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Pharmacy was SVKM’s first venture into the field of health sciences.  The institute is established in the year 2004 with an intake capacity of 60 students and offers a degree course in Pharmacy which is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Director of Technical Education (DTE) and the College is affiliated to the University of Mumbai (UoM).

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER, Kolkata) has been created as a centre of excellence for higher education, research and development in pharmaceutical sciences.
The Institute offers in M.S.(Pharm.) in Medicinal Chemistry, Natural Products and Pharmacoinformatics. The Institute admits students for the M.S(Pharm.) through a common entrance test conducted by NIPER, Mohali. In future the number of M.S. programs would be increased and Ph.D programs would also be started in various disciplines of pharmaceutical sciences every year.

Rajarambapu College of Pharmacy is a pioneer college catering pharmacy educational needs of the students and society. The college is conducting D. Pharm, B. Pharm and M.
