Regional Centre for Biotechnology opens for M.Pharm / M.Sc professionals for cancer research
Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), an institution of education, training and research is established by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India under the auspices of UNESCO. The Centre will focus on cooperatively working towards shared biotechnology growth in the Asia-Pacific Region. Regional interactions in biotechnology will promote co-operation amongst the countries to develop necessary infrastructure and capacity building for economic benefit of our societies.

Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), an apex body in the national forestry research system, has been undertaking the holistic development of forestry research through need based planning, promoting, conducting and coordinating research, education and extension covering all aspects of forestry. The Council deals with the solution based forestry research in tune with the emerging issues in the sector, including global concerns such as climate change, conservation of biological diversity, combating desertification and sustainable management and development of resources. Topical research by the Council enhances public confidence in the ability of forest managers and researchers to successfully handle challenges related to natural resource management.
Siddha Central Research Institute (SCRI) is the pioneer institute for research established in the year 1971 to spin in all spheres of Siddha Research such as Clinical Research, Drug Development and Literary research. It is governed by Institutional Human Ethics Commitee, Institutional Animal Ethics Commitee and having adequate infrastructure and various departments like Clinical research, Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry, Pharmacology, Literary research and Pharmacy. This institute is located in the campus of Arignar Anna Government Hospital of Indian Systems of medicine at Arumbakkam, Chennai. This institute is instrumental in getting the Patent for Psoriasis and is a referral centre for Psoraisis. Recently this institute has published a patent for Poly herbal drug D5 Chooranam useful for newly detected Type 2 Diabetes.
