The Gujarat Forensic Sciences University is the world’s first and only University dedicated to Forensic and allied Sciences. It was established by the Government of Gujarat through an act passed by the Gujarat Legislative Assembly dated 30th September, 2008 with an objective of fulfilling the acute shortage against increasing demand of forensic experts in the country and around the world. Evidently, the University became functional from July, 2009 onwards with various courses, scientific programs and training modules.

ABSTRACT
This review mainly focus on targeted drug delivery to the colon is extremely desirable for local treatment of inflammatory bowel disease such as ulcerative colitis, crohn's disease, amoebiasis, colonic cancer as well as for systemic delivery of protein and peptide drugs. The colon is a site where local delivery allows topical treatment of inflammatory bowel disease and systemic delivery of drug can take place. Treatment of colon can be made effective if the drug can be targeted directly into the colon because drug release and absorption should not be take in abdomen and the small intestine and bioactive agents should not be degraded and to allow drug release into the colon. Drug targeting to the colonic area is not only associated with the treatment of colonic ailment locally but also delivering drugs such as protein and peptide for their systemic effects which are degraded and bioavailability is very depressed due to the instability in the GI Tract.

Dattakala College of Pharmacy has been established in 2014.The Dattakala Shikshan Sanstha has about 30 acres campus and is situated at Gat No.541 &527, Swami-Chincholi, Tal-Daund, Dist-Pune. This campus is near Bhigwan town and is connected by road (Pune-Solapur Highway 100 km) and rail (Bhigwan Station 4Km.). Our college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi, Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, Government of Maharashtra / Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai, and is affiliated to Savitribhai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Pune.

Government College of Pharmacy, Aurangabad has been started in 1996 with the efforts of Honorable Late Shri. Govindbhaiji Shroff as a part of his social obligation to which Marathwada region was awaiting. Initially it has been started as one of the Departments of Government College of Engineering. Subsequently in 1999, it has acquired the status of full-fledged Government College.

Now the college is situated in its status or art building of around 8000 sq. ft. The institute in its short span has established credibility to impart quality education to masses. The institute is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad and approved by AICTE and Government of Maharshtra.
