Established under the aegis of the Guru Nanak Institutions in 2006, the College has been a nurturing ground for pharmaceutical professionals. School Of Pharmacy GNITC is approved   by the AICTE and Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad with permanent affiliation. It is also approved by the UGC as an autonomous Institution .The Institute is further recognized u/s 2f & 12 B of UGC Act. The Institute offers a four year B. Pharm programme, six years Pharm D, and three year Pharm.D (PB) apart from two year M.Pharm programme. The Institute is constantly seeking to upgrade the quality of its education is endeavoring to become a ‘Continuous Education Centre’, where new knowledge pertaining to the Pharma field is generated on a regular basis.

Maharshi Dayanand University, ab initio established as Rohtak University, Rohtak, came into existence by an Act No. 25 of 1975 of the Haryana Legislative Assembly in 1976 with the objective to promote inter-disciplinary higher education and research in the fields of environmental, ecological and life sciences. It was rechristened as Maharshi Dayanand University in 1977 after the name of a great visionary and social reformer, Maharshi Dayanand. It had a unitary and residential character in its nascent stage, but became an affiliating University in November 1978. The University secured the recognition of University Grants Commission – the higher education regulatory body of India - for central Govt. grants in Feb. 1983.
